Here is how CamperBay works. If your question is not covered, use the Contact link at the bottom of every page.
Create an account, go to Place an advert and choose the category. You fill in the title, the details, the asking price and a description, and add photos; the first photo becomes the cover. Listing is free and your advert is online right away. If you are not finished, save a draft — a draft is not visible to anyone else.
Every advert has Send message. That opens a conversation in Messages, inside the platform. Make an offer sends a message with an amount in it — it is a message, not a binding bid and not an auction. The seller replies in the same conversation.
Pick your caravan or motorhome once in the garage. After that, every part tells you whether it fits and how certain that is: confirmed, stated by seller, by attribute or universal. Where it says "by attribute", check the measurements yourself.
The heart saves an advert to Saved. You can save a search as well and run it again with one click. Please note: a saved search does not send e-mail. No notifications go out at the moment — you look at it yourself whenever you want.
Under Feature you can make one of your own adverts stand out in the results and, depending on the package, on the homepage. In the first year this is free; after that it becomes a paid feature.
You can upload several photos, drag them into the order you want and crop them before saving. Use your own photos of the actual item.
Every advert has a print button. In the print dialog choose "Save as PDF" for a document with the photos, the details and a QR code back to the advert.
Buyer and seller arrange that themselves. CamperBay handles no payments, offers no buyer protection and arranges no transport. Meet in a public place, look at the item before you pay, and never send money up front to someone you cannot reach.
If something is wrong, use the report button on the advert itself. What we do with a report, and within what time, is set out in the terms of use.
The platform is available in Dutch, German, French and English, with adverts from the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. You switch language at the top right and location at the top left.
